How to Build a $10 million Business

One in every 250 businesses make over $10 million a year in sales. This means 99% of entrepreneurs never hit it.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is built off of two things, skills and beliefs. Strong entrepreneurs are people with lots of skills and beliefs that don’t limit them.

“We question all of our beliefs except for those we truly believe and those, we never think to question.”

How to Up Level Beliefs

There are two types of beliefs that could limit us:

  1. Known Limits - Reasons they give for why they can’t do something.

    Ex. They can’t do it because they’re not in shape, can’t do it because they don’t know how, can’t do it because they don’t have time, etc.

  2. Unknown Limits - Things you don’t know are possible.

    Ex. They didn’t think they could start their own business instead working for one, they never thought of there being another opportunity, they didn’t think it was possible to own it all, etc.

Unknown limits are the hardest to overcome because we don’t think about them. A way to overcome this is by getting insight from other people and researching how others achieved their accomplishments.

Successful entrepreneurs conquer their limiting beliefs by attending industry events, joining professional groups, and connecting with like-minded individuals, this not only expands their network but lets others share their experience and give advice.

Leverage

Leverage is the difference between what you put in and what you get out. There are four types of leverage, collaboration, capital, content, and code.

Collaboration

This is when you have other people work for you.

Capital

The other people that work for you, give you the fruit of their work so you can invest it on their behalf and you keep a percentage of the profit.

Content

There are entertainers and educators that create content. If you want to be an educator, have credibility before you share information with others.

Tip #2
One way to leverage your marketing skills is to start your own online business. Create and sell digital products, offer consulting services, or even become an affiliate marketer.

Code

Creating a system that gives you more for every input. This could help you get to your goal faster.

All four of these types of leverage aren’t necessary to reach your goal but they could help you reach it quicker and more efficiently.
