Say goodbye to eating out and deal with it if you’re hungry. No more splurging on fancy meals. Stick to only discount stores for all your shopping needs. Forget about buying new clothes. You've got a perfectly good wardrobe that can last you for years to come. Get creative and reuse what you already have. Trade with other people or go to Goodwill. Go to work, and head straight home. It's time to prioritize your finances and make every penny count.
Advice
The best way to stay poor is to listen to poor people about how to get rich. Ignore all the people that think you can’t do it. Continue to take the steps towards learning and growing.
2. Work More To Make More
If you want to increase your income, it's time to buckle down and get to work. Don't be afraid to take on multiple jobs if needed. Spend your precious free time applying for positions that align with your career goals.
Start doing at-home phone sales jobs. Believe it or not, these gigs often require zero experience and can pay you a decent salary of $40k/year or more. Pair that with another job in between, and you'll be on your way to stacking that cash.
Another opportunity worth exploring is becoming an Uber driver. Sure, you might need to save up for a car if you don't have one already, but it's an investment that can pay off in the long run.
Advice
Pick one skill that you want to have and only consume information about that skill. Do hours of real work and study for that skill. Then, spend the rest of your time being the best candidate that has ever applied to those jobs that require that skill. If you don’t think you have the experience, address that in your application, but make up for it with your hustle. Message multiple people at every company with a snippet personalized to each of them, letting them know you are looking for a job and are willing to put in the work.
3. Start Selling
Start off by selling other people's items. It is a smart way to get your foot in the door. Once you get the hang of it, you can level up and start buying items for a bargain and flipping them for a profit. It's like going from flipping small things to bigger and better opportunities. Eventually, you’ll be able to flip entire houses. It’s about pushing yourself, even if you get uncomfortable, because that’s when you grow.
