Radical Accountability

It starts with a simple decision: you have to choose whether you want to be the victim or the hero of your own story. You can't be both. Many people unconsciously choose to be the victim, blaming the world and everyone around them for their circumstances. And you know what? In many cases, they are right. Life can be tough, and some people are born into difficult situations with the odds stacked against them.

However, the world doesn't care how you feel. It cares about what you do. To stop living life on "hard mode," you need to accept full and complete responsibility for your situation. This doesn't mean it's your fault, as fault is in the past and results from choices that have already been made. It's about recognizing that you have the power to change your circumstances moving forward. By taking ownership of your life, you can start making choices that align with your goals and aspirations.

Disengage Auto-Pilot

Most people go through life following the path laid out for them by their parents or society without stopping to question if it's truly what they want.

To change this, you need to take control and make conscious choices. Start by asking yourself, "Is this what I really want?" Listen to that inner voice that knows deep down what you desire. Once you've identified what you truly want, commit to it wholeheartedly. Play the game you want to win, not the one you feel obligated to play.

Actively create opportunities for yourself. Take risks, explore new ventures, and embrace entrepreneurship if that's what excites you. Remember, it's never too late to start. Don't worry if you haven't been entrepreneurial before. You can learn and grow along the way. Just take that first step and see where it leads you.

Optimize Your External Environment
A cluttered and chaotic environment can contribute to feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Start by dedicating some time to decluttering. Get rid of any items you no longer need or use. Organize your space so that you are set up for success. This means finding ways to make the unproductive choices harder to do and the productive choices easier. It could be carrying a water bottle with you all day and not purchasing soda when you do groceries. That way you only drink water because going all the way to the grocery store for soda is “too hard”. Remember, optimizing your physical environment is about creating a space that supports your well-being and makes it easier to live life on "easy mode."

Optimize Your Social Environment

If we surround ourselves with unhealthy habits and negative mindsets, it can be really tough to break free from that cycle. First, take a look at the people you currently spend the most time with. Are they supportive, positive, and aligned with your goals? If not, it might be time to make some changes. Seek out individuals who are where you want to be and doing the things you want to do. Connect with like-minded people who inspire and motivate you. This could be through joining clubs, attending networking events, or even finding online communities centered around your interests.

It's not about cutting off all your current friends or family members, but rather expanding your circle to include those who uplift and challenge you to be your best self.
